David Kleiss Graduates from Lakeview College of Nursing

David Kleiss of Tuscola, IL graduated Cum Laude from Lakeview College of Nursing during the College's spring commencement ceremony held in Danville, IL. Kleiss earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree through the College's Charleston Campus.

Kleiss received the College's prestigious Charline Grygiel Award. Charline Grygiel was a 1938 graduate of Lakeview School of Nursing and eventually a long-time director of nursing and nursing education at Lakeview Memorial Hospital. John Grygiel of Danville, IL, who is the son of the late Charline Grygiel, presented a cross-shaped medal to the students. The award represents neutrality in caring for the sick and wounded and adaptability in rendering humanitarian services. It is given to the graduate from each campus who most exemplifies the values of Lakeview College of Nursing; adaptability, caring, excellence, integrity and service.

Lakeview College of Nursing is a single-purpose, private institution that has specialized in nursing education in the Danville, IL area since 1894. Lakeview began offering a cooperative program with Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL, in the fall of 2001.
