Lakeview Dean to Serve on NLN Committee

Danville, IL (11/03/2020) — Lanette Stuckey, Dean of Nursing at Lakeview College of Nursing, was recently appointed to serve as a bylaws committee member for the National League for Nursing (NLN).

The NLN nomination committee selected Stuckey for the two-year term after a nomination and application process to participate on the committee. Her role on the committee will be to review proposals and amendments to the NLN bylaws.

Stuckey said she became involved in this because of her inclination for more of an association with NLN as well as a desire to serve others. "Sitting on the board at the national level allows me to make the unique contribution to volunteer and serve and make positive changes in nursing education," said Stuckey.

As a member of NLN, Lakeview College of Nursing receives access to programs and services that offer significant educational and leadership opportunities for nurse educators. Stuckey also serves as the NLN ambassador to Lakeview College of Nursing in order to share information and encourage participation within the NLN community.

Lakeview College of Nursing offers a bachelor of science in nursing degree. It is a single-purpose, private institution that has specialized in nursing education in Danville, IL, since 1894. Lakeview began offering the program in Charleston, IL, in 2001.
