Lakeview Receives Reaffirmation of Accreditation
Danville, IL (11/08/2018) — Lakeview College of Nursing's accreditation has been reaffirmed by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) after a comprehensive review of the institution's mission, integrity, teaching and learning, resources, planning, and institutional effectiveness.
This regularly-scheduled reaffirmation process included a thorough peer review of Lakeview's assurance argument which was complemented by a site visit to the Danville Campus of Lakeview College of Nursing. The next scheduled reaffirmation of HLC accreditation will occur during the 2027-2028 school year, according to Lakeview officials and the HLC website, www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org.
"We are very pleased with the outcome as it recognizes the dedication of our faculty and staff, who work tirelessly to help us achieve our mission," said Lakeview College of Nursing President Sheila Mingee.
Lakeview College of Nursing offers a bachelor of science in nursing degree. It is a single-purpose, private institution that has specialized in nursing education in the Danville, IL area since 1894. Lakeview began offering a cooperative program with Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL, in the fall of 2001.
