Nursing Students to be Recognized at Honors Program
Danville, IL (04/25/2018) — Lakeview College of Nursing will hold an Honors Recognition Ceremony on Friday, April 27 beginning at 2 p.m. at their Charleston Campus location at 580 W. Lincoln Ave. in Charleston, IL.
Fourteen students will be inducted into the Lakeview College of Nursing Honor Society. In order to be considered for the Lakeview College of Nursing Honor Society each student was required to be within the top 1/3 of their graduating class, hold a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better, and demonstrate leadership and service through their activities.
One student will also be inducted into the Pinnacle Honor Society. Pinnacle is a national honor society to recognize non-traditional students for their academic and co-curricular accomplishments. Students are selected for Pinnacle based on grade point average, involvement in at least three campus or community activities, leadership, persistence, future promise, and adherence to high ethical standards.
Lakeview College of Nursing offers a bachelor of science in nursing degree. It is a single-purpose, private institution that has specialized in nursing education in the Danville, IL area since 1894. Lakeview began offering a cooperative program with Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL, in the fall of 2001.
